Why using the urine testing?
A first morning urine sample on our signature Air-dried strips is required to profile the organic acid levels. Liquid urine has poor stability, as degraded after sampling, and the freeze-thaw cycle between transportation may discourage the quality of urine sample. Air-dried strips ensure sample stability in storage and transportation even in room temperature condition up to 55 days.
Our Air-dried Strips was validated to provide almost 100% of the liquid urine value (r² of 0.997), with great stability and recovery of the analytes.

2. How accurate is urine as an indicator of my body status of toxicity?
Exposure occurs when a chemical comes in contact with a person. A portion of that exposure dose is absorbed into the body, where it’s distributed, metabolized and excreted in the urine. Environmental exposures to these toxins (parent compounds) result in increases in body burden that are reflected in urine, which is an accurate biomarker of exposure. Urine analysis is also a standard method of measuring chemical exposure as it is the medium which carries the various waste products that are filtered out of the blood system. Benzene exposure for example, is measured through urinary trans-muconic acid.
